We’re coming close to the conclusion of our Sizzler series. I’d be doing it a disservice if I didn’t do a version of the philly cheesesteak with this. It’s a versatile frozen patty that works in a number of ways – as you can tell. Let’s get going.
The Prep Table

Worry not, we’re going to add some provolone slices. Like any good philly cheesesteak, we’re going to do pepper and onions and some freezer fries because that’s what I do. My homemade hand-sliced, skin-on fries.. maybe double-fried fries are delicious, but for a simple weekday meal like a Sizzler is, we’re going simple weekday freezer fries.
The Process\

Oil up that surface, throw some salt and pepper on there and cook it up. We’re going to cook to the shape of the patty, so it’ll be a hamburger bun instead of the usual. Shape doesn’t dictate flavor, so for you purists out there, we’re going to be okay.

These frozen sizzlers are perfect to keep on the freezer. Short on time? Fire up the griddle and cook from frozen. Get that steak slices and beef in the middle – absolutely perfect. Not at all sponsored Stehouwer’s in any way, just a happy consumer willing to showcase their product.

The Result
Text

Hit as expected. You could add on a peppercorn-style sauce, but this thing was delicious. The addition of pepper and onion never disappoints – no matter what you put it on. When done again, I’ll probably add some minced garlic, but that’s because I’ve done enough of these to know what I want. Stehouwer’s Sizzler series is another success!
