Peanut Butter Christmas Kiss Cookies

Happy Holidays!!

Happy holidays everyone! This post is for our friend Ralph, who has requested more “dessert posts.” Happy to oblige! Like the cheesecake post, this one is very non-plant-based. And highly processed. Unlike how I normally eat as well. I can only eat like this rarely. Usually it’s around the holidays. I just don’t feel well when I eat like this. Needless to say, I gave a lot of these away to friends, family, and coworkers.

So, to make these we need Hershey’s kisses, creamy peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, flour, Butter Flavor Crisco (so, so bad for you!), milk (only a small amount so Mr. FBBQ drank the rest of it. I don’t believe that humans should ever drink cow’s milk), vanilla, and eggs. In all honesty, as I am typing this I am pretty disturbed by the ingredients in this recipe and this may be the last time I make these. The milk, the processed peanut butter, the Crisco, all the sugar, the eggs. Kind of goes against everything I believe about eating healthy. Thanks for reading my rant!

Our amazing stand mixer bowl!

In the stand mixer bowl, mix together the peanut butter, sugar, vanilla, brown sugar, and Crisco. Next, add the milk and eggs and flour. The dough will be very dry.

The sugar is supposed to be “snow”

Roll the dough into one inch balls and roll the balls in sugar. Put them on a cookie sheet and bake them for 8 minutes.

Kisses!

While the dough balls are baking, “shell” the kisses. Mr. FBBQ assisted me with this. He also ate some. Just to make sure they were edible (kidding). At 8 minutes, open the oven and put the kisses on top of the cookies. Bake for another 2 minutes. Remove from the oven and enjoy hot!
