Quick Bite: The Omelette Burrito

Two weeks is a bit long to be gone – so I’ll shorten it up with a quick post. If you follow me over on Instagram, I posted this one earlier this week. In a first of a series, short little posts that aren’t anything new or innovative – but look too darn good to pass up… I present: The Quick Bite.

My omelette game has been killing it lately – been using Red Hot’s Secret Spice to season those eggs and the cooks have been fire. Take a look:

Red Hot’s Secret Spice on them eggs

Put a quick tri-fold on the egg, and it’s good to go. Except I also wanted a burrito. But not just a scrambled egg breakfast burrito – I wanted a flour tortilla wrap on the omelette. So I did it.

Transfer the omelette over, heat up the tort, and put the egg back on there:

I could’ve put some cheese on her at this point, but I just doused it with a thick hot sauce.
Couple sprigs of parsley and some hot chili peppers.

Little known, but not surprising ForensicBBQ fact: These peppers are mainstays in the fridge. Or any special meal at the FamilyBBQ household. I like to bite the end, squeeze the hot onto the food item, and eat the pepper. I eat an unhealthy amount of these that result in a difficult tomorrow.

Threw some fresh cracked pepper and some tots on the plate to finish it up.

As if the hot sauce in the burrito and the chili pepper topper weren’t enough – ghost pepper ketchup. One day I’ll tame the tastebuds, but today is not that day.

Pretty it up for the main page

That’s it. Welcome to the ForensicBBQ first “Quick Bite”. No scheduling for these ones – I’ll just do it when I have some pictures and some time. Stay tuned for the 2022 season of ForensicBBQ starting next Friday with one of my absolutely favorite dishes. Thanks for a great 2021, we made some serious strides – let’s keep this train in motion.
