Force of Nature Wild Boar Sausage

So I made this one, took some pictures (Like I do with most of my cooks).. and it was so darn good, I just couldn’t let this one go un-posted. Mostly because I love the Force of Nature products, and I think they’re deserving of their own post.

The Prep Table

Simple, yet crazy flavorful.

Perfect weekday meal. Home from work and need a quick bite. Let’s do this. For some bizarre reason, these “Wild Boar Beef Sausages” were discounted at the local market, so I bought ’em all up. Let me steal their description and post it here for y’all: “Our Lonestar sausage combines the nourishing gifts of free range wild boar, 100% grass fed beef, and mild spices for a hickory, chili flavor you’ll crave”. Mild spices? Nah, these things were spiced so beautifully. So much flavor. HIGHLY recommend.

The Process

Simple saute on the P&O

As mentioned – simple weekday meal. We’re doing the traditional Pepper and Onion sausage on a roll. We’re not getting overly fancy, we’re staying overly simple for a reason. That reason was to enjoy the taste of that Lonestar blend sausage.

Two to eat, two to save.

Once them peppers/onions were cooked, we threw them to the warm side of the blackstone and threw the sausages on the hot side. Now, I cracked the pack, so I was going to cook up all four of the sausages. I split two of them (The ones I was going to eat tonight), and kept the last two to re-heat over the next two days.

The Result

They’re in there, I promise.

Build ’em and lets go! I know MrsForensicBBQ isn’t impressed by my paper tray usage – but since I bought the box of ’em, I might as well use ’em. And they’re so versatile, I use ’em for a lot of things. Anyway, biting into one of these was so juicy, so much flavor. You’re going to need to pick some of these up. If your grocer sells ’em, make it happen. No recipe today – was pretty self explanatory, so visit their site and see all the products you need to acquaint yourselves with!
