Happy Fall! I love the change of seasons here in the Midwest. Beautiful fall colors, chillier weather, pumpkins, and a whole new group of vegetables to choose from!!!
This post is more about the bread than the actual meal, although the meal turned out quite delicious!
My friend and co-worker (shoutout to SUE!!!) made me this most amazing sourdough-rye seed bread!! I’m talking all kinds of seeds!! Sesame and pepitas and flaxseed and caraway seeds!! It looked and smelled incredible!! So, I decided that a nice, simple meal would pair perfectly with this bread. I was right! The bread was absolutely delicious! Soft inside, crunchy on the outside. This might be my new favorite bread!!!
So, the meal-super easy!! Boil some water to cook the orzo (we are becoming orzo experts!) and leave it on the heat for about three minutes. Drain the pasta.
Meanwhile, in our vegetable steamer we have Brussels Sprouts and broccoli Didn’t see that coming, did you??
Add the greens to the orzo. Chop some parsley, chives, and tarragon. Throw that on top and squeeze some fresh lemon onto it.
Perfectly simple, easy to make, delicious!
