The Poutine-Style Hot Dog
A pretty simple recipe - just combining already made items to make that delicious comfort food
Ingredients
- Hot Dogs Costco brand
- Buns
- Frozen Oven Fries McCain's Quick Cook
- 1 Can Beef Gravy
- 1 Pile Cheese Curds
Instructions
- Get the RecTeq fired up to 425 (per direction on the fries). I also set up a couple GrillGrates on the side for the dogs.
- Bake fries in the RecTeq per instruction - or longer if you like 'em crispy like me. When you think they're nearing done, add the dogs.
- Toast the buns whenever you feel like it throughout the cook.
- Remove from grill when everything is cooked - heat up the gravy on the stove until hot.
- I like to put the dog in the bun, put a few fries on each side - then rip a few fries and put them on top. Throw an obnoxious amount of curds on there and top with the hot gravy.
- Topping everything with the hot gravy lets the curds melt into that delicious blend of flavoring. Eat it and wonder why you haven't done this sooner!
